Integrating GenEnv with multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) frameworks will enhance coordination and cooperation among LLM agents in complex, dynamic environments.

Feasibility: 7 Novelty: 8

Motivation

While GenEnv focuses on individual LLM agent training, many real-world applications require multiple agents to interact and cooperate. Extending co-evolutionary frameworks to MARL could offer insights into how agents can learn not only from their environment but also from each other.

Proposed Method

Develop a MARL framework integrated with dynamic GenEnv environments to test agent coordination. Design tasks that require cooperation among agents to achieve shared goals, and use performance metrics to evaluate improvements in coordination. Compare results with baseline MARL setups without co-evolutionary environments.

Expected Contribution

This study would demonstrate how co-evolutionary environments can enhance multi-agent cooperation, potentially leading to more robust and adaptable agent teams in dynamic scenarios.

Required Resources

Compute resources for scalable MARL experiments, expertise in MARL and LLM development, and datasets for training and testing multi-agent interactions.
